Over your course, you'll learn professional cosmetology / barbering / esthetics services in theory and practice, client communication, retail performance, presentation skills, creative expression, and business building. We help graduates find employment. Graduates from our cosmetology program can also apply to become an ARROJO Studio employee while we have many friends in the barber and skincare industries, and we use these contacts to find the best placements for our graduates.
The academy location, although completely private, adjoins ARROJO Studio Soho, one of New York's most established and successful hair salons. Experienced professional instructors teach daily, but you'll also get guest demos and lectures from world-class guests, my team of master stylists, and myself. We will demo techniques, provide you with insights to the industry, and give you a platform to work in the salon, in education, or in editorial and fashion-related work.

As a licensed cosmetologist, barber, or esthetician you can make your dreams come true! The most popular career path is to become a salon / barbershop stylist, or beauty salon skincare specialist. These professions allow you to help people from all walks of life look and feel great.
Or you can be an editorial or session stylist, a full-time educator, a stylist for film, TV, or theater; you can be a product development, retail, or management specialist; you can be your own beauty salon owner, or start a skincare company.
Our aim is to cultivate your skills so your dream career becomes your career reality. As such, we help each student find the right work placement. All cosmetology graduates are welcome to apply for a position on the ARROJO Studio cutting or coloring assistant training program that leads to being one of our salon stylists

Instructors teach the theories and techniques necessary to pass the New York State Board exam. This is supplemented with techniques developed by ARROJO. We apply a modern and creative, precision-based method so we can always create beautiful, wearable, fashionable hair. Creativity is integral to cosmetology and to celebrate their graduation students produce and present their own creative presentation, incorporating the cutting, coloring, styling, and makeup techniques taught in the program, sharing it with their class, family, and friends. This is something special, which can stay in a portfolio forever
